Karmand Community Centre is an independent community advice and information resource that provides generalist advice on a broad range of issues such as Housing, Welfare Benefits, Consumer and Immigration Advice to individuals who live locally in Bradford East. We provide an independent impartial and confidential generalist drop in service as well as Specialist Welfare Benefits and Immigration Advice.

We encourage the take up of benefits amongst our users by giving advice about the appropriate benefits for them and work to empower local people to manage debt and money problems. We also offer assistance to fill in claim forms, to negotiate with the Department for Work and Pensions and other outside agencies and to deal with issues around electricity, gas, water, banks, creditors and housing. You can be assured that all enquiries are treated in confidence and no details are divulged to any organisation, funder or individual without your prior consent. We have a strict Equal Opportunities Policy and we strive to make our services available and accessible to everyone. We are opposed to all forms of discrimination and will resist and actively challenge any acts of discrimination that may occur at the Centre, to our staff, visitors or clients

“Karmand Community Centre Welfare & Immigration Advice service is registered under the OISC (Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner) for its immigration work and is accredited under the AQS [Advice Quality Standard] for other advice including welfare benefits.
